Whatever Wednesday: The Mulled Wine Fiasco

Whatever Wednesday is when we explore all the different ways that What-EVER spray can be used around the house. It is an amazingly versatile little workhorse and because it is so safe and friendly, the uses are endless. If you'd like to share the unique ways you use What-Ever in your life, post a link in the comments or email me and tell me about it. kate at cleanhappens dot com

One of the things that I love about being a Better Life blogger/social media type person, is that on Facebook I get tagged in people's pictures of their filth. I love that people send me messages and emails about the most disgusting incidents involving poo and puke. They seriously make me giggle.  So, today's Whatever Wednesday is a story from a customer in New York City. (New York City?! Am I the only one who has been so permanently altered by a salsa commercial that I must echo in a hick-cowboy way every time that city is mentioned?) Anyhoo, here's the story...

Gretchen L. wrote to me saying:

I love the Better Life products and I use them all the time. I'm so grateful to have products that don't give me headaches; that alone makes them worth it, but they also clean REALLY well.

She was having what I can only imagine to be a fabulous holiday party, I'm picturing an artsy, sophisticated affair like someting out of Breakfast at Tiffany's, or perhaps she was tying one on solo (who am I to judge?) either way, something distracted her leading to her mulled wine boiling over onto the stove top.

Gretchen L. uses drip pans to keep her stove top clean, but still, under the drip pans there was a mess.

Now, what I love about this part of the story, is that she immediately thinks of me.

When I saw the sticky gross mess that my mulling mishap left behind, I started to reach for the paper towels (I know, not very green) and the spray bottle and then I thought I bet Kate could use this so I decided to take some pics and videos with my phone. Unfortunately, my phone has a really crappy battery issue so the minute I try to take a picture it drains the battery. I had to go plug it in and wait for it charge to full all the while the gross sticky mess on the stove was drying, but I really like these products and I want them to stick around so I was determined.

She let the mess get worse, just so she could show us!! I love that! She did take a video which I will share on Facebook. She says:

The reason for the video was because I'm a skeptical person by nature, so before and after photos generally aren't enough to convince me. I want everyone to see that I was indeed using only What-EVER and a paper towel.

After the wait, the mess still cleaned up lickety split. Party on, Gretchen L!
